Guided tours

The easiest and best way to get to know Leuk town and the rye village of Erschmatt is on an interesting guided tour of the town. Discovering unexpected places is guaranteed.


Tour of Leuk town

Stroll through the alleys of Leuk-Stadt and let yourself be whisked away to the Middle Ages. You will discover traces of history everywhere.

From the first Tuesday in July until the end of October, there is a guided tour every Tuesday at 2:30 pm. The tour lasts approx. 1 ½ hours. Meeting point in front of the town hall in Leuk town.
The Tuesday tour is free of charge and also suitable for children.

  •     Leuk Castle, renovation by Mario Botta
  •     Leuk town hall
  •     Church of St. Stephan
  •     Ossuary with the 19-metre-long skull wall

Tour of Erschmatt

Get to know the mountain village of Erschmatt. Stadel, spycher, dwellings, carving workshop, mill, bakehouse, church, variety garden, erratic blocks and mighty boulders in the middle of the village - we show you all this and tell you about the history of the people here.

From the first Thursday in July until the end of October, there is a guided tour every Thursday. Meeting point 2.30 pm bus stop Erschmatt/Dorf. The tour on Thursdays is free of charge and also suitable for children.
Reservations are compulsory until Wednesday, 5 p.m. at Leuk Tourism.
